Quick Start Guide
When you start Virtual Cover Creator, you will be presented with the main window with the Face Editor pane visible on the right side. If the Face Editor pane is invisible, go to the 'View' menu and select the Face Editor item or just press 'CTRL F'. This quick guide shows how to create a three sided box using a template that comes with Virtual Cover Creator.
TIPS: If your screen resolution is set to 800x600 or lower, you won't be able to see all the control buttons on the Face Editor. You can scroll the Face Editor up or down by holding your left mouse button and drag the form surface up or down.
1. 3D Model Selection
1.1. Start off by selecting the cover type you want to create. Here we are creating a three-sided software box cover.

On the Face Editor window pane, select the 'Three sided box' item from the 'Select 3D Model' drop down menu.
2. Template Selection
2.1. Next, click the 'Select template...' button to select a ready-made template. This will open up the Templates window where you can select a template. Virtual Cover Creator comes with 100 professionally designed and ready to use templates.

Now select template number 66 which is the '66-3sided-binarylightgreen', then press the 'Select' button at the bottom.
2.2. The Front, Spine and Top faces are now loaded into the template thumbnail view.

2.3. Now we need to add some text on the cover faces. Double click the 'Front' face thumbnail (or click the 'Edit selected face' button) to open it up on the main window.

2.4. To add text, click the Insert Text toolbar, . This will open up the Insert Text window.

2.5. Now type, your text into the 'Text to insert' textbox. Adjust the style, color, size, orientation, shadow etc. as required.

2.6. Adjust the text position on the face by dragging the text layer using your mouse. If you want to edit a text after you close the Insert Text window, just double click that text layer to reopen the Insert Text window. Add some more text as you wish.

2.7. Now click the 'Update face with active window'. Repeat steps 2.3 to 2.6 for the spine and top faces.

3. Model View
3.1. Now, to view the the final cover image click the '3D View and final image creation' button. While on the 3D view mode, you can play around with the 3D settings to create the exact cover image you want.

3.2. Once you are satisfied with the cover image, adjust the smooth slider as required to produce sharper image and smooth out any rough edges.

3.3. Finally press the 'Smooth and save image' to save the image. Congratulations! You've just created you first 3D cover image.
