Setup Windows Filters

The "Window Filter" module consists of two sections: "Filters" and "Windows".

Windows

The list of windows of the running applications is displayed in the section "Window". The option "Include hidden windows in list " allows seeing both visible and invisible application windows.

Filters

In the section "Filters" you will see the settings for window filters. When the module is enabled, then SSM will automatically close those windows, which contain the words from the list of filters in their caption.

Windows Filters should be applied, if, for example, the web-site you visit opens some additional windows, for example, with advertisements. For automatic closing such windows set up and enable windows filters: go to the edit box under filters list, enter a word, which is present in the caption of "undesirable" window (for example, "advertisement"), and press the button "Add" to add the filter word to the list of filters.

Remember: changes in a module settings will come into force only after pressing the button "Apply settings", which saves the last settings.

To activate windows filters switch on the "Enabled" option. This option is available and also in the context menu of the SSM icon in the system tray.
