Editing A Sound File
This file is two seconds in length and we want to increase its length to six seconds to produce a continuous drum beat.
1. To do so, go to "Edit" menu then select "Select All". After the waveform is highlighted, go to "Edit" menu again then select "Copy" to copy the whole sound.

2. Now we need to append the copied sound at the end of the original sound. You can click the end of the waveform image to position the cursor at the end of the audio file. Or to place the cursor position more accurately, go to the "Control Panel" pane, select the "Markers" tab. In the "Markers Selection" type "100" in the "End Select" textbox and make sure the "Press To Select" button is not pressed and the "Start Select" textbox is "100" too. You'll see the marker position moves to the end of the waveform image.
3. Now go to the "Edit" menu again and select "Paste" to paste and append the copied sound at the end of the original sound.

4. Repeat step 2 and 3 to create a continuous six seconds drum beat.
You can listen the finished six seconds drum beat by locating the 6secdrum.wav file in the "Samples" folder. |
