Record or Mix Voice

You can record sound from several input sources including a microphone. Make sure your microphone is connected to your sound card. If you are recording to an existing audio file, the new recording will be appended to the end of the existing audio file and we do not want that. So, we'll create a new audio file. Go to the "File" menu and select "New" or press the "New", button. Then you are ready to record your voice. Press the "Record", , button and speak to the microphone. When you are done press the "Stop", button and save it as "myvoice.wav".

Now we will mix "myvoice.wav" with "mixedsound.wav". "Select All" and "Copy" "myvoice.wav". Open "mixedsound.wav" and position the cursor somewhere before the middle of "mixedsound.wav".Then go to "Edit" menu and select "Mix" to mix the audio files. Save the mixed audio file as "mixedvoice.wav".
