Indicators
There are two ways to plot indicators:
- Use AnalyzerXL Wizard.
- Manually enter formula into a cell.
Using AnalyzerXL Wizard
- Open AnalyzerXL Wizard.
- Select function, for example Stochastic Oscillator Alert.
- Click Next button.
- Choose Type of output data, for example Expert Function. (See What is expert for more information).
- Into field “High(%D)”, enter the cell reference for the range of High prices.
- Into field “Low(%D)”, enter the cell reference for the range of Low prices.
- Into field “Close(%D)”, enter the cell reference for the range of Close prices.
- Into field “Output range”, enter the cell reference for the range of output data.
- Enter period as 3.
- Enter slowing as 2.
- Click Finish button.

Manually enter formula into a cell
- Click the cell in which you want to enter the formula.
- Type = (an equal sign).
- If you click Edit Formula , Microsoft Excel inserts an equal sign for you.
- Enter the formula, e.g. =ALERT_D8020(B2:B7;C2:C7;D2:D7;3;2;1).
- Press ENTER.
