Specifying Application Settings

To customize the Movavi Flash Converter application, select the Preferences command from the Tools menu.

• From the Interface Language list select a language in which user interface will be presented;
• Select the Play sound check box if you want to enable sound for your video; otherwise leave the check box not selected.

Specifying URL

To start conversion, it is necessary to specify the URL of a corresponding video.

There are two ways to add the URL of a flash video:

• Using the URL button. To add a URL, click the URL button or select the Add URL... command from the File menu and enter the value of the URL in the text field of the displayed window. Note that Movavi Flash converter provides a possibility of smart URL setting: if you have a URL copied in the Clipboard, it will be automatically set into the URL field as soon as you click the URL button or select the Add URL... command from the File menu. Click the Add button to add the URL to the Source File area.
• Using drag-and-drop technic. This technic can be used if the Movavi Flash Converter window is minimized to the taskbar. To add a URL, move the cursor over the link in the browser window, drag the link on the minimized window of the application. As a result, the application window will be opened. Drop the link to the Source File area.

To delete an unnecessary video, select it in the Source File area and click the Delete button or select the Remove command from the File menu.

Specifying Video File

To start conversion of the flash video stored on the computer, it is necessary to specify the path to the FLV file.

To add a video file, click the File button or select the Add Video... command from the File menu and select a necessary file in the tree. As a result, the selected video will be added to the Source File area.

Previewing Video

Before starting the procedure of conversion, you can preview the flash video to be converted. To do so, select a necessary video in the Source File area and click the Preview button or select the Preview... command from the File menu. As a result, the Preview area will display the flash video. Now you can watch the video in the same way as if you watch it online or by means of any video player:

NOTE: Movavi Flash Converter is an online video converter: flash video files will be buffered before playing, which may take some time and result in considerable use of computer resourcers and Internet traffic.

Converting Video

After you have added your flash videos to the Source File area, you need to select the video to be converted, set an output format for the converted file and perform converting:

1. Select a flash video in the Source File area. Note that Movavi Flash Converter supports batch converting: you can select a number of files for converting. In this case the application will download the specified files and process them one by one. To perform batch converting, select check boxes next to corresponding entries in the list or use the Shift and Ctrl keys.
2. Specify necessary file format and presets in the Output format and Presets fields.
3. As soon as you have set the required data, click or select the Convert... command from the File menu to start the procedure. The file(s) will first be downloaded from the specified location(s), and then converted.

5. When converting is finished, a folder into which a converted file(s) has been saved will be opened.
