Customizing text editor

Text editor is very flexible. You can customize various properties of text editing area to fit your needs and working style.

To customize text editor:

1. On the Options menu, click Preferences.
2. In Preferences window, click Text Editor folder.
3. Set options as you like.
4. Preferences window offers several pages for text editor configuration.

Change text colors

You can change colors of syntax highlighting.

To change text colors

1. On the Options menu, click Preferences.
2. In Preferences window, click Text Editor folder.
3. Click Colors.
4. In the Language section, select language and element whose color you wish to change.
5. Select Foreground and Background color and text attributes.
6. Repeat last two steps for each language and element whose color you wish to change.
7. Click OK.

Toggle line numbers

You can enable or disable line numbering.

To change line numbering option

1. On the Options menu, click Preferences.
2. In Preferences window, click Text Editor folder.
3. Click General.
4. Toggle line numbers:
   To show line numbers, mark Visible gutter and Line numbers on gutter checked.
   To hide line numbers, mark Line numbers on gutter unchecked. To hide gutter, mark Visible gutter unchecked.
5. Click OK.

1. On the Options menu, click Word Wrap.

Toggle hidden char visibility

To toggle hidden character visibility

1. On the Options menu, click Show Hidden Characters.

Change spelling check language

To change spelling check language

• On the Options menu, click Preferences.
• In the Preferences window, click Spelling.
• Click Configure Spell Checker.
• Select a dictionary or click Locate dictionaries to add a new one.
• Click OK.
