Commands and Functions
- File Menu commands - Contains all functions related to files such as opening and saving files.
- New - Pressing this sub-menu will open the New Map dialog box which is used to select existing image for mapping (this command will create a new blank map with the selected image).
- Open - This sub-menu will open an existing map file for editing purposes. Pressing this sub-menu will present the Open dialog box where you select the map file you wish to open.
Close - This sub-menu will close the current map.
- Save - Saves the existing map.
- Save As - Pressing this button will open the Save As dialog box used to save a new copy of the current map (the active map).
- Exit - Press this sub-menu to close the program and finish your work.
- Edit Menu commands - This menu contains editing functions which are common in the Windows operating system environment.
- Cut - This function activates the cut operation on a text (the cut operation copies the text to the clipboard and afterwards erases the original text). After copying the text to the clipboard, you can easily Paste it into any windows text program.
- Copy - This function is used to copy a text to the clipboard. After copying the text to the clipboard, you can easily Paste in to any windows text program.
- Paste - This function pastes the content of the saved text from the clipboard into the selected text field. This function is only available when editable text field is selected
- View Menu commands - This menu contains functions which are related to the display (of the program), allowing you to control the way different elements of the program are displayed/viewed.
- Toolbars - This sub-menu allows to hide/show the toolbar
- Status Bar - This sub-menu allows to hide/show the status bar
- Help Menu commands - This menu contains several options for receiving help.
- Contents - Opens the help chapters from which you can select the desired subject you need help on.
- Index - Opens the help index (the list of keywords) with which you can reach the desired subject.
- Search - Opens the help search screen with which you can perform a search for a certain subject by use of keywords.
