Backslash Replacement

Chooses which character is used to replace a backslash (' / ') character when found in text while using the "slash" replacement tool on the Single-Tag Popup Menu.

Preferences

Fonts

Use these tools to adjust the size and appearance of fonts used to display data in respective lists within the program. Change font sizes by clicking the up/down arrow keys to the right of the text box showing the current font size. Select Bold or Regular font by clicking the small button to the left of a font-size box. To edit other font styles, or to select a different font, click one of the font buttons beneath these tools to bring up a standard Windows font dialog box. Click the Apply Button on this dialog to both preview and apply your changes, then hit the OK Button to accept them.

Fixed Cells

Choose the appearance of row number and column header cells. Choosing Flat renders cells as plain, square, and gray with a dark outline. Choosing 3-D Plain produces cells with a gray, three-dimensional look. Choose 3-D Gradient for a three-dimensional look with color gradient added. The 3-D appearance may not be appropriate on some systems. On systems with slower video systems, excessive "flicker" may result when selecting cells when this attribute is active.

Grid Lines

Grid lines between Editor rows can be chosen as thick or thin or not present.

Colorization

Allows customization of font and other colors in the Editor:

Font

  • Filename Color: Choose font color for Filename column text.
  • Location Color: Choose font color for Location column text.
  • Year & Track Color: Choose font color for Year and Track column text.
  • Enable: Enable/disable font colorization.

Banding

  • Vertical: Enable vertical (column) color banding.
  • Horizontal: Enable horizontal (row) color banding.
  • Band 1 Color: Choose cell background color number 1. Applied to every-other column, if V Banding active, or every-other row, if H Banding active.
  • Band 2 Color: Choose cell background color number 2. Applied to columns not colored by Band 1, if V Banding active, or rows not colored by Band 1 colors, if H Banding active.
  • Enable: Enable/disable column/row color banding.
  • Row Selection Color: Choose color used to highlight selected rows.
  • Browser Background Color: Choose Browser background color.

Apply Windows' theme colors (Vista only): "Skins" the program, when checked, using current Windows' desktop theme colors. Primary skin color is taken from Inactive Caption color. Secondary, or gradient, color is generally white or cream. When unchecked, or the OS is not Windows Vista*, standard "button gray" is used as primary color, while white or cream is used as secondary.

Undo Resets all colorization settings to default values.

Enable Editor folder nodes

When checked, files are grouped by location in the Editors, and a "folder node" column is added on the left on each editor page, with folder icons placed at the start of each group. Click a folder icon to collapse a file group down to a single line. Click it again to expand it. While folder nodes are active, files are maintained in groups by location while editing, sorting, renaming, etc. Tag synchronization is turned off whenever one or more folder nodes are collapsed, and the copying of tag data between ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags is not always allowed. Folder nodes are automatically expanded to accommodate some file operations, such as file renaming and file moving, and when the Rename Page or the Column Page is selected.

The folder node option can also be enabled or disabled just by double-clicking the top left-most cell on either Editor page. Node enable/disable, expand and collapse options are also available via popup menu by right-clicking the mouse anywhere on the first column.

Show Editor file icons

Check to prepend an identifying file-type icon to each file name in each file name column.
