Main Editor
The Editor page is a two-view, 90-plus column table which loads with tag and file data from either 1) an iTunes XML library file, or 2) files at a particular location on your hard drive. When viewing an iTunes library file (iTunes Mode), the table can be linked to respective files on your hard drive, where present, so that the library and corresponding file tags keep in synch. Likewise, when viewing file tags (Tags Mode), the table can be linked to the iTunes library for the same purpose. Although not a requirement enforced by the editor, linking ensures that changes made to the iTunes library stay matched to physical file tags, and vice versa.
Most columns can be made visible or hidden from view, and the order in which they appear is adjustable via the Column Order & Visibility Panel. Access this panel with the Column button on Top Toolbar B or use shortcut sequence <Ctrl+M>. You can drag-and-drop columns by dragging their column headers while holding the Control Key depressed. Up to three column configurations can be saved and recalled on the Columns Panel, or column properties can be reset to default values. The panel can be used to remove or restore a column from view, or to swap one column with a neighboring column. You can choose to reset a single column to its default width by right-clicking on its header cell and selecting the applicable function from a popup menu.
iTunes Mode - Editor is being used as XML library file editor.
