Separator Toolbar
Access: Menu > View > Toolbars > Separator Bar, Toggle Pad button 2

From left to right:
through Chooses the active Separator for extracting blocks of text from file or path names into one or more Editor columns. The choice made here is also reflected in the Separator Indicator, on the Status Bar, the Main and Popup Menus, and on the Rename Page in the Separator drop-down list of Separators there. The choice of Separator can be applied to all pages collectively, or each page can be assigned its own Separator, depending upon the setting of option "Allow each page to have its own Separator" in the Behavior section of Preferences. For an explanation of the data extraction process, see section Name-to-Tag Extractions in this help file.
through Choose how far into each file or path name the extraction process goes: up to the first Separator ( 1 ), the second Separator ( 2 ), the third ( 3 ), or all the way to the end of a name ( E ). The choice made here is also reflected on the Main and Popup Menus in their respective "Separator" sections, and by the "Extract to…" LED on Toolbar 2 (see above).
or Choose whether to use file names or path names as the data source for name-to-tag extractions.
When enabled, groups of symbol-separated numbers are treated as a single contiguous group of numbers, when extracting data from name-to-tag. This allows, for example, a date like 9-12-2004 to be treated as a single block of text rather than a separate "9," then a "12," and finally a "2004." The setting here is also reflected by the "Number Grouping LED" on Toolbar 2 (see above), as well as on the Main and Popup Menus in their respective "Separator" sections. (See "Number Grouping" in topic Main Editor under main heading Multi-Tag POPUP Menu for a detailed discussion of this feature.)
Removes the toolbar from the Editor. Restore it again with the "2" button on the Toolbar Toggle Pad on the Top Toolbar (or go to Menu > View > Toolbars).
