Use the Specifications Viewer to examine basic technical information about a selected file (click into a file's row in the Editor to have it examined). Information shown varies for each tag type. As an example, shown on the panel when an MP3 is selected is the following information, when available:

Version: The specific MPEG encoding version used to generate the file.
Type: The encoding bit rate and frequency, and whether the file is encoded in stereo or is monophonic. For non- VBR (Variable Bit Rate) files, the encoding bit rate shown is constant and applies to each frame in the file. For VBR files, this figure represents an average value for the file as a whole.
Frames: The length of each sound frame, followed by the number of frames contained in the file.
Sync: Confirms whether proper synchronization data was found in the file.
CRC: Confirms whether a cyclic redundancy check value was found in the file.
Copyright: Confirms whether the file contains copyright information.
