Maps

A map is simple graphical view of the network discovery or of the manual nodes that you have added. It is a document, a container, in which nodes with any address can be grouped. Nodes a connected with a line symbolizing the network connection. Currently no other representation is available (no free design of the sites, buildings, rooms).

  • Nodes are sorted using the order that you specify in the Display Toolbar.
  • The number of nodes in the map in shown in the status bar (on the left)
  • Nodes are displayed with one of the fixed built-in icons
  • The number of nodes on a line depends on the screen width, and you can choose either a fixed map layout or a maps resizing with their window(the default)
  • There is always only one selected active node, surrounded with a little box
  • Double clicking on a node will show the node's properties
  • You can change the color of every component of the map and the font used for labels
  • The layout of the map is used when you export to EMF format
  • Several maps, and/or several views of the same map, can be loaded simultaneously
  • Several maps can be grouped with the merge menu
