Calendar
Event
In this program, Event refers to a calendar item that occurs one or more times. For example, yearly events, weekly events, Easter Sunday and one time events.
Appointment
In this program, Appointment refers to an Even that occurs at a specific time of day (hour::minute). For example, a meeting is considered an Appointment because it occurs at a certain time. On the other hand, Holidays do not occur at any specific time of day so they are not considered Appointments. Other calendar programs may use the words "Event" and "All Day Events".
To add an Appointment, you can select "Add Event" from the Edit Menu, then assign a time to it (check Appointment).
Daily Notes
Notes editor is an easy to use feature. Being simple means that it is not very flexible. For example, you can not add 2 sets of notes for one day or you can not add notes with repeating pattern. Also Notes can not be associated with any groups. You need to use Events for such purposes.
Tasks
Tasks (or To do items) are similar to events but they do not need a set date. |
