Options

The options dialog has three tabs where changes can be applied to the program. These tabs are: Language and Skin, Result Window, and Additional Settings.

The default settings in all Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6 modules are designed for maximum security. If you're not an experienced Windows® user it's best to leave them as they are - only change them if you know what you're doing and have a good reason for doing it! See the instructions in the individual modules and the corresponding help topics for more details.

The Language and Skin tab:

In the Language drop-down-box you can choose the program language from the drop-down-box. The Skin drop-down-box allows you to pick a skin. The application appearance will be applied according to the specified skin.

All settings made on the Language and Skin tab become effective without restart.

The Results Window Tab:

In the "Display" field you can change the appearance of the Results Window.

Hide empty categories in result window.

If enabled categories with 0 results will be hid for a better overview.

Open result window maximized

If enabled the result window will be open in maximized mode for a better overview.

The Additional Settings Tab:

In the "Reset all Settings" field you have the possibility to restore the Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6 to the default options.

This option might come in handy if you have made any unwanted changes to the software.

To revert to the default settings press the Reset button.

News Channels

Within the Settings of the News Channels you can activate or deactivate or activate the News Channels of the Ashampoo WinOptimizer 6.
