Registry Analysis & Cleanup
This tools analyses your system's registry for abandoned links to files or folders on your system. By eliminating these unneeded links you can make your registry smaller and more efficient.
Starting an Analysis
Select which registry keys you want examined.
Note that the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG keys contain large amounts of binary data which make them hard to examine. User data is rarely found in these keys.
To begin the analysis, click the "Start Analysis" button.
Viewing the Results
The results are shown with the link and the path in the registry.
Deleting Abandoned Links
Select the keys for the abandoned links that you want to delete. Click the "Delete" button, the process will then:
- Confirm your desire to delete the keys
- Ask whether you want to export the selected keys to a .REG file for future restoration.
- Proceed with the deletion. Each successful deletion will display "deleted" on the list.
