- Record entire desktop
- Record a specific region
- Record a specific window
2. Select the folder in which the AVI recording file will be saved. Defaults to the PCSurgeon executable folder.
3. Click on the "Start Recording" button.
4. PCSurgeon will minimize to the task bar and a small status window will appear in the upper left corner of the desktop.
5. Activity will be recorded to an AVI file. Progress (in frames) is shown on the status window.
6. To stop recording, click on the "Stop Recording" button in the status window.

To play one of the recordings, double click on it and PCSurgeon will invoke your default AVI viewer such as Microsoft Media Player.
