Browse Sites Offline
WebCloner provides an integrated Web browser (IE4 or above) to quickly view your downloaded Web content and sites. Since Web content is saved in standard HTML, you can also view downloaded websites offline, using any of your preferred browsers.
While browsing any webpage using WebCloner's internal browser, it is very important to know how to read the panel's titles:
- Title Panel
Located at the top of the page, displays its title. If the page title is using the pattern "Offline Browse (<<Page title>>)", then the page is already saved on your computer. This doesn't necessary mean that all the dependencies of the file were saved.
- Links Conversion Info Panel
Located at the bottom-right of the page, in the status bar, displays the links conversion mode. The Mixed Mode is set by default. That means WebCloner tries to load the Java, CSS, images directly from server if these files are not already downloaded. If the panel displays Offline Mode it means that WebCloner will only load already downloaded pages and files. If you use Offline Mode, the pages will load faster when browsing offline, since the internal web browser is not trying to load missing files from online server.
To change these settings go to Project Properties on Advanced - Links Translation page. |
