Windows & Panels

This section briefly describes some elements of the Web Page Maker workspace.

Windows & Panels

The Toolbar contains buttons for inserting various types of "objects", such as images, texts, and navigation bars, into a document. For example, you can insert an image by clicking the image button in the toolbar. If you prefer, you can insert objects using the Insert menu instead of the toolbar.

The Work window displays the current document as you create and edit it. It provides a surface upon which you Drag and Drop objects to create pages.

The Site panel enables you to manage your pages on your site. To show or hide this panel, press F8.

On the Pages tab, these buttons are used to add, clone and remove the pages on a site. It will show all pages on a site in the list box.

Move to a different page by selecting it from the list box. To change the name of the current page, select it, right click then Rename, type a new name in the box. When the project is published, the published file will be the name of the page with the file type specified in the list box.

The default name for the first page in the project is index. This will produce a file called index.html when publishing. Please note: Your homepage should be named index.

On the Elements tab, it displays all elements included in the current page in the list box.
